I am an Associate Researcher at the Instituto de Investigaciones en Materiales, UNAM working on droplet impact, splashing and rheology. Before, I worked at the University of Oxford and the University of Twente as Postdoctoral researcher. On the latter I worked at the bubble gun project funded by the ERC, which aims to develop needle free injections. Previously I obtained my PhD at Queen Mary University of London and a BSc in Physics at the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México.

In general I study the physics of droplets and their interaction with other objects, such as textiles, solid surfaces or other liquids. You can find all my publications on my Google Scholar.

Hobbies

Although science is my passion, I believe that having other activities is good for both physical and mental health. So, when I’m not at the lab you can usually find me playing some sport like football or rugby, having a chat in a pub with friends an colleagues or reading fiction books.
